DDO complaints reporting
If you are a distributor of Generation Life products you are required under the DDO legislation to provide regular reports on complaints relating to product design, product availability and distribution conditions.
Complaints can be reported using the Financial Services Council (FSC) data standards template provided below.
Quarterly reporting is due 10 business days after the end of the quarters ending 31 December, 31 March, 30 June and 30 September.
Section 994F(6) of the Corporations Act 2001 requires distributors to notify the issuer of a product if they become aware of a significant dealing in the product that is not consistent with its TMD.
Neither the Act nor ASIC defines when a dealing is ‘significant’, and distributors have discretion to apply its ordinary meaning. Please refer to our TMDs for guidance that can be used in determining a significant dealing.
Significant dealings outside target market must be reported to us as soon as practicable and within 10 business days of becoming aware of them; using Financial Services Council (FSC) data standards template provided below.
Submission of reports
Please send completed significant dealings or complaints reports to DDO@genlife.com.au. Please attach your completed template to the email, quoting your licensee AFSL number and report reference number in the subject line of the email.
Please note that the email address is for DDO reporting only. If you have feedback or wish to raise a complaint that is not related to DDO, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, on 1800 333 657 (Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm AEST) or contact your Generation Life Distribution Manager.
