Melbourne, 27 April 2026: We are currently responding to a cyber incident involving an unauthorised party gaining access to part of our system via a third-party service provider.

This was detected quickly by Generation Life and immediately contained.

There has been no access to the core systems responsible for all investment activities and they remain secure, and our services continue to operate as normal.

At this stage, there is no evidence of any unauthorised transactions. We have however increased our transaction monitoring and controls as a precaution.

In addition to containing the unauthorised access, we are working around the clock to investigate whether data has been affected, and how this may impact you. If we identify a need for follow-up, we will reach out directly to the relevant financial adviser and investor with clear guidance and support.

We have engaged experts from across the cyber security industry to assist in this process and investigation. We have also notified the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and National Office of Cyber Security (NOCS) of the incident.

As always, we recommend that our clients, advisers and partners stay vigilant against any unusual or unsolicited communications, including emails, phone calls, SMS, and or unfamiliar links.

If anyone has received correspondence purporting to come from us and wishes to confirm it is legitimate, they should contact our dedicated support team at support@genlife.com.au.

We have also set up a dedicated support line - 1300 420 229 to assist with any questions or assistance.
